Ballerup, Denmark – February 3, 2026 – GN, a global leader in hearing technology, announced a significant addition to its ReSound hearing aid portfolio, alongside groundbreaking advancements in fitting technology. These innovations are designed to empower hearing care professionals and provide world-class hearing solutions to more people, giving them access to great sound and accessibility.
Expanding the portfolio: new styles and broader accessibility
The ReSound Savi essential family is being extended beyond its Receiver-In-Ear models to include popular new custom styles that sit directly and comfortably in the ear canal, offering best-in-class sound quality in a sleek design.
For the first time in the essentials category, GN is introducing a wireless In-The-Canal hearing aid that connects to Auracast and provides seamless Bluetooth access to public and private audio streams, so more people with hearing loss can benefit from advanced connectivity. The integration of Auracast across GN’s hearing aid portfolios reinforces the company’s commitment to innovation and to making sound more accessible for everyone.
Peter Justesen, President, Hearing division at GN, explained: "We want more people to experience the difference that advanced hearing technology can make in everyday life. With our new ReSound Savi custom styles, we are strengthening our essential range to meet more individual needs and preferences. Together with our industry-leading fitting advancements, these developments give people easier access to great technology that simply helps them hear better and feel more connected."
Elevating the fitting experience for hearing care professionals
Additionally, GN is introducing ReSound Smart Fit 2.3, a new fitting software bringing significant advancements to the fitting experience. These updates include enhanced AutoREM (Real-Ear Measurement), which ensures the hearing aid's sound output precisely matches the user's specific ear acoustics for a more natural and comfortable listening experience. This also provides consistent, clinically relevant guidance, helping to speed up fittings.
GN is also announcing the planned integration of NAL-NL3, a prescriptive fitting developed by National Acoustic Laboratories to determine the optimal amplification for individuals based on their hearing loss. With an upcoming software update to ReSound Smart Fit 2.3, hearing care professionals will soon be able to harness this widely recognized gold standard in audiology, making ReSound Smart Fit the world's first fitting software to support it. NAL-NL3 enables more accurate and personalized sound amplification. When available in ReSound Smart Fit 2.3, Hearing Care Professionals can fit ReSound hearing aids with greater precision and consistency, bringing users a clearer, more natural sound experience with better speech understanding.
"We are incredibly excited that ReSound Smart Fit 2.3 will be the first fitting software to integrate NAL-NL3," says Brent Edwards, Director of the National Acoustic Laboratories. "This will enable hearing care professionals to harness the full power of our cutting-edge prescriptive formula, providing their patients with the most precise and personalized sound experience possible. It truly elevates the standard of care."
