Shakopee, Minn. – Nov. 2 – GN today announces that ReSound Sensia™, the world’s smallest AI hearing aids, are now available to United States veterans through Department of Veterans Affairs audiology clinics and sites of care nationwide.
First launched in the U.S. in August, ReSound Sensia is built on GN’s new AI platform and features Intelligent All-Around, an innovative approach to sound processing designed to help users hear the voice they want to focus on, even in noisy spaces.
The technology combines highly accurate environmental classification, advanced 4-microphone directional beamforming and Deep Neural Network (DNN) noise reduction to automatically support clearer listening.
ReSound Sensia is designed to recognize changing sound environments and automatically activate the features needed at the moment people need them, reducing the need to make changes on the hearing aids or in the ReSound Smart 3D™ app.

“Veterans often have unique hearing needs, and they deserve the latest technology that helps them join in on the moments that matter most to them without worrying about missing the conversations,” said Bob Eastman, Vice President, ReSound Government Services. “ReSound Sensia provides proven technology that automatically raises the voices that they want to hear, not simply the loudest noise in the room.”
The ReSound Sensia portfolio includes rechargeable and battery-powered Receiver-in-Ear options, as well as custom-made styles. GN is also introducing ReSound Sensia™ Bimodal and ReSound Enzo™ IA Bimodal, designed to work with Cochlear® Nucleus® sound processors. This latest step in GN’s collaboration with Cochlear through the Smart Hearing Alliance reflects the shared dedication to the journey and commitment to delivering state-of-the-art bimodal solutions.
